In 2006, charitable giving in the US rose to $295.02 billion, a new record.
The Oram Group, Inc. is pleased to share highlights of the 2007 Giving USA Report on Philanthropy, published by Giving USA Foundation. The Foundation is a public service initiative of the Giving Institute (formerly American Association of Fundraising Counsel), of which The Oram Group is a member. Hank Goldstein is the Foundation's immediate past chair.
The Foundation's estimates, prepared by the Foundation’s partner, Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, report total giving in 2006 of $295.02 billion, a 4.2% increase over adjusted estimate for 2004 ($11.97 billion) and a 1.0% increase in inflation-adjusted dollars of 2006’s $283.05 billion.
